Hopefully whatever I did in these steps fixed it. Waited the 7 minutes and watched it cycle. I then pressed the reset button and reset it, then picked up my cat and put him in there to trigger the sensor. Once cycled and back home, I poured the Fresh Step Advanced clumping litter that I use to the fill line. Plugged it back in and let it cycle itself with no litter in it. It sits on a hardwood floor so I made sure to check all of the feet so that none of them were sitting in a grout line. I put the bonnet cover back on and then checked the leveling. Pull the bonnet cover back off and pulled the bonnet completely out and inspected it, and put it back in making sure to align it properly. I put the bonnet cover back on and reset it to the home position. I've heard that sometimes this comes loose during shipping. (It sort of hangs down when the bonnet is upside down in the empty position). The litter mat weight is the circular disk under the mat where the litter sits. I also inspected the litter mat weight to make sure it hadn't come loose. I've heard that sometimes it can come loose and cause problems. While still in the empty position, I opened up the bonnet cover and inspected the carbon filter on the bottom of the bonnet. Emptied the waste bucket and gave it a good cleaning. Put it on the empty cycle and discarded all the litter in it to start fresh.
